Don't you realize that KM is protecting this country from another 9/11? Ever heard of Systems that perform Scanario Planning, Decision Support, Artificial Intelligence? How do you think these systems perfom their outputs.....KM. All major Military and Intelligence Agencies use KM to predict future events so that we can both defend and offend. I think your post is a little off. KM is a "specialty" that keeps you and your family from enjoying a nuclear winter....retard. |

You are right. However you are also off base.
Start by getting yourself a sense of humor.
KM has got to start with an objective. In the military it is about safety. Artificial Intelligence is being conducted at MIT with algorithms containing Uncertainty Theories (much like those used to find the state of an electron inside an atom). Artificial Intelligence is still a wet dream--Right now they are using it to teach a robot to walk.
There is not one individual system or person who can still predict the future...the stock market is full of wishful prognosticators.
I am sorry if you had to resort to the basest of ther human emotions to vent out your anger.
In the private industry Knowledge Workers are those people such as Engineers, Sales Force, Accountants, Supervisors, etc. f you manage any of those functions you are a Knowledge Manager.
