In Reply To: I'm not stalking you. I am, however, looking at strategy as the optimal job out of undergrad, and that's why I ask about your background. I'd like to eventually get into venture capital. Most people on the McK board -- and most people in strategy in general -- laud the great problem-solving skills they develop, responsibility heaved on their shoulders, etc. Few are as blunt as you have been. My feeling about strategy is that it offers a similar learning curve, with more responsibility and less hours at the analyst (BA) level.
Message: I don't know a huge amount about VC, but my gut says you will be a lot happier as a young analyst at a large consulting company. More colleagues. More of a system to teach you. The VC thing sounds cool, but I would do it afterwards. Obviously both industries are extremely tight now. You will have to be very comeptetive to get in. And they will kiss your ass a lot less than they used to. I would also take a look at "real companies/real jobs". Good luck.
