Knowledge workers are those which obviously carry vital company information in their heads becasue there are no written procedures to be followed. Example is Engineers or IT personnel, or most anyone with a higher college dgree.
When you say Knowledge Management, you are not defining a specialty and it is therefore a vague statement. Is your specialty in Logistics? Sales? Manufacturing, etc.
By the way, there was a Dilbert cartoon making fun of Knowledge workers, that is why I started my comment with Joke Yes.

Don't you realize that KM is protecting this country from another 9/11? Ever heard of Systems that perform Scanario Planning, Decision Support, Artificial Intelligence? How do you think these systems perfom their outputs.....KM. All major Military and Intelligence Agencies use KM to predict future events so that we can both defend and offend. I think your post is a little off. KM is a "specialty" that keeps you and your family from enjoying a nuclear winter....retard.
