well, i think one of the earlier posts supported that you could have all the right schools, grades, and SAT scores and not land anything. It's the interview that counts the most i think.
in addition to Michael Porter's book, check out a book called "the Mckinsey Way". i can confirm that it's got some amazing insider insights and will help you understand consulting and give you a boost of confidence for interviews. |

on McKinsey was really weak. The defnitive book on McK or on consulting has not been written, but check out Dangerous Company. It has its moments...
