I'm a mid-level associate in a top law firm, from a top 5 law school, considering applying to a consulting firm. I'm hoping someone could tell me what kind of jobs people take after two or three years at a top consulting firm. I know, like law, it varies, but I presume the general answer would be "corporate america". What does that mean? Is it more often a certain type of position at a certain level in a company's hierarchy? What does the usual job pay? Assuming someone takes the usual job, what's the career path - what kind of position do they expect to have in ten years and what's the average salary in those positions?
I realize the general answer is "it varies", but I know if someone asked me this question about people leaving my law firm, I'd be able to give answers to these questions with fairly specific numbers. I'm wondering if someone can fill me in on the info and numbers for people coming out of top consulting firms.
Much appreciated. |
