I am interested to hear what the comp levels are for consultants say 3-5 years out. Anyone with any insight?

the answer to your question can vary. Do you have a top tier MBA? What practice area are you in (strategy, process, technology)? What firms have you worked for?
Let's say you have a top 25 MBA and have worked for a Big 5 firm for the last 2 1/2 - 3 years. Chances are, you would be a Manager or maybe a Sr. Manager. If you are in a non strategy practice I would venture your base would be anywhere between 90K and 110K. Please! - that is a really rough range. If you are with a strategy firm, you would be much higher. That is, you would have started out of MBA school already at 85K to 100K base. I am also assuming that you didn't have a ton of experience prior to B-school. If you are very process oriented and with a smaller firm, then the base salary would be lower; say in the 70Ks.
The bottom line is, I would need much more information to give you any kind of a guess.
I hope I haven't opened a can of worms here, because I know that there are so many factors in considering your question.
