I am a senior at a tier one public school with a 3.75 and a double major in political science and international studies. I did an internship this summer with the number one think tank in Asia, speak two languages other than English, and am Phi Beta Kappa BUT I didn't even get an interview with BCG or Bain (the two strat firms that recruit at my school). The only thing that was a little weak was my SAT score (1290). Anyone have any suggestions as to what is going on? |

Most of the recruits that I know of at those firms come from PRIVATE schools (eg, Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Stanford) so if your public school is not Berkeley, then you may run into some problems. As one who screened for interviews at a top strat firm, we hardly ever interviewed UCLA students.
