The strategy firms (M/B/B...maybe BAH and ATK too) won't care about your specific major, just how smart you are and how poised you are.
That said, the undergrad b-major has a bit of a stigma as being too easy (this has been discussed a bunch already...with lots of outrage from currrent BBA candidates...but that's what those of us in "the real world" see.) Maybe at a big 5, specific knowledge of accounting would be valuable if you intend to do audits. (although I think a smart person can learn accounting from a self-study book and some OJT.)
Net-net: Do what you like and what interests you. You'll learn more if you are pursuing something you like. And will have better options assuming you don't get a consulting gig.

The reason I'm doing a BBA is that every finance company that comes to campus looks for BBAs, not science or econ majors.
I guess I should also ask what advice you would have for a smart person who attends a nontarget school (University of Houston) that wants to get into consulting. I'm obviously going to do the typical iformational interviews, asking profs. for leads, and seeing if I can;t find a consulting contact in my network. However, in this job environment it seems like that may not be enough.
