I am a first year MBA student with several years experience running a small business (1.5M in sales, 12 employees). I sold the business, returned to school, and want to enter consulting.
I match all the profiles and would love this business, but travel is a problem. I love my kids and do not want to do extensive traveling.
How bad will this hurt my propects for entering consulting? |

Booz-Allen & Hamilton has its world headquarters in McLean, VA. The office does a lot of consulting to the government. As a result, travel is not too intense. Government consulting can be slower paced tha n corporate consulting, but if you want to engage in problem solving work while actually living with your family, its a pretty good gig.
