OK, if you insist to go down this path, I'll go down with you and reduce myself to your level. I do it all the time whenever I run across intransigent nicompoops such as yourself.
I really don't know what your point is. Is is that I am arrogant? Yes, and?
Is it that, according to you, I "haven't even worked at a big 3 strat firm, much less any consulting firm"? Just to set the record straight, I have worked at a well-known strat firm. I can admit that it was not McKinsey, but no more, since where is not important. I've recruited and had MBAs work under me in client engagements. Even HBS ones. In my experience (and I am certain that the same applies to the top strat firms), MBAs new to consulting and MBAs re-joining the firm after their MBA WERE PAID EXACTLY THE SAME. PERIOD.
I don't see what your point is about inexperience and getting screwed have anything to do with their base pay. If neophytes blow up quicker than people with previous experience, perhaps, but so what? They got paid the same while blowing up.
Cheers,
