Consulting sounds like what I've been wanting my entire career. Until now I've been working in a HR / Recruiting capacity. Does anyone know what the consulting firms think about people in their late twenties / early thirties wanting to get into management consulting? Is there an age ceiling for newbies? What about without an MBA vs. with an MBA? Thanks for any feedback! |

It is not too late to enter the consulting game - if you have the right background, you are at a great age because you should have the work experience the maturity to make you an appealing candidate. Also by now, you should be getting an idea of what you are really looking for in a career and a company. I have been doing consulting for the past 4 years and I love it. It is high stress work and typically alot of time away from home, but I'm SOLD. I sort of fell into it, but I find it is a great outlet for my creative sole.
