Actually, I'm an INTJ frustrated with the 'nicities' of HR, though I would like to get into a HR Strat role. The HR function had a lot of EEO strategy which kept me there this long. As for my acknowledgements to messages, I'm used to doing this because of the other folks I'm working with ( a case of being nurtured as opposed to being my natural self...) To be quite frank, INTJ's typically see a lot of social interaction as frivolous and I am certainly in that group though because I am smart ;), I can play the game... My problem is selling that to a prospective consulting co (who will assume I am ESFP), like the 'kind and gentle' poster also assumes! |

I can identify with you because I'm also an INTJ. I see social interact as frivilous, but necessary to grease the wheel of social interations. As natural leaders, INTJs may do better to take charge of their lives: personal, professional, what-have-you.
Since you are smart, you can play the role of ESFP and close the sale. Best of luck!
