I am a student at a second tier libreal arts schoolin the mid west. I am studying computer science and communication and minoring in economics. I have been trying to get my foot in the door and get an int erview at several consulting firms since last september but to no success. I have a moderately strong GPa but have worked on two internships during my sophomore and junior summers, one with a well regarded internet portal company and another with a start up that has since gone under( surprise! surprise!)
My only i nterview was with Bain but I did not make it there. I am tapping my limited network to try and get some face time but am facing a daunting task.
Are there any firms out there that are considering a second wave of hiring or is there any way that I might be able to leverage my position.
