I would appreciate it if you could define "high caliber". Because there is a distinct possibility that you are correct.
And I assume because you said, "The people who rush out the door at 5PM arean't serious about their careers - they are simply there to earn a pay check." that you are only working for fun or for your health. Am I correct in my assumptions?

I do enjoy my job, and by high caliber, I mean to say that the jobs that lead to positons of responsibility and ability to affect change on an ever increasing scale are only arrived at through years of hard work and time-sacrifice.
Unless you know some secret formula to get to one of these positions without having to put in the time - good luck.
Otherwise, if you're one of those people that thinks of sucess differently than most, than you're blessed
