After 4.5 years with a mgmt consulting firm, I was laid off last summer. My experience was in general strategy, e-strategy, and re-engineering. I started as a business analyst and was promoted to a consultant position (without an MBA).
I have had absolutley zero success getting my foot in the door at any firms, although many claim to be hiring. Just wondering if anyone else out there is having such a difficult time finding their next job.
With things so bad, I've applied to a couple of b-schools and have been accepted. I'm just not sure that things will be turned around enough when I graduate in two years to make it worth the investment. Is anyone else out there in this boat?
