In Reply To: Depends on a lot of things. Overall *range* is probably similar to that for MBAs ... and I think your 80-160 estimate range is centered a little high there, at least this year. However, the range for a specific person will probably be much narrower, depending on (a) Where you go to school ... HBS, Wharton, London, etc will get you a decent placement, second tier schools will leave you hard pressed to get on-campus or off campus interviews. (b) Your field ... e.g. a finance slant / thesis in Intl Business may position you for higher pay than certain other specialities. (c) Whether you go academic or applied when you come out. (d) Your thesis committee members' external reputation and connections ... this counts for bothe academic & applied placements, but different committee members will help more, depending on which path you choose. (e) Your connections & network going in.
Message: I'm an American with a BSc from miami. Also, I studied in "france" and "finland" for my MSc (engineering) and my PhD in int'l business. I have 10yrs experience in engineering & 1 yr consulting exp.+worked in 4 countries+foreign languages skills+age 35. -MSC thesis: mergers & acquisitions -PhD thesis: negotiations barriers between finland & Latin america. I want to work at a company's business develop. department...or as a consultant in the USA. HOW MUCH I'M WORTH ????? Thanks, Alex
