I have been at UBS PaineWebber for four years as a financial advisor and I would like to get into management consulting. I recently scored 690 on the GMAT. Am I better off getting my MBA (I've applied to Kellogg, Chicago GSB, and UVA Darden) or trying to get mt fot in the door with one of the Big 5. I've heard both arguments and would like any input that anyone has.

Lousy conditions in the Big 5 right now, they aren't hiring in any quantity.
If you do the MBA you should graduate just when the economy begins to grow strongly again.
