Sounds like you have a lot of options on the table, which is a very good spot to be in. I wouldn't discount working for a smaller consulting firm. As was stated in an earlier posting to this discussion, there are plenty of smaller firms that are highly valued by their clients and can provide some very good experience for someone just entering the market. It has always been my opinion, that MBA programs are most helpful for those individuals who have already gone out there and gained some practical experience (3-5 years). I wouldn't worry about firms throwing your resume out because of a previous job. No matter who you worked for in the past, smart and motivated individuals should be able to pull relevant experience from any consulting venture that can then be built upon in the future. If you choose to go with the smaller firm, be sure to set goals for yourself while working for the firm and once you have achieved them, re-evaluate. |

Couple points:
- Don't get hung up on name recognition, remember, you are not doing this to show off to your pals (at least I hope not)
The point is, you have much to learn from the "smaller" and less "prestigious" firms nonetheless. Don't shoot them down so easily.
- Why do you want the MBA? What do you want to do AFTER you obtain the degree? I think you should put some thought to that before you turn down AMS or whatever offer you have at hand.
