Hi Everyone,
I was hoping that you could throw some advice at me for my current situation.
I am a graduate of Duke U, with a major in Biology, but since graduation have worked 2 years for my family's factory, import, and export business in Hong Kong (completely unrelated to my major, of course). During these two years, I've gained considerable breadth (and less depth) of knowledge as a manager in various areas of the business.
I guess my most marketable qualities include my school, my research experience (4 published science articles), my managerial experience at a company, and perhaps my marketing diploma from UC Berkeley.
What options might I have in applying to various consulting jobs during this time? What industry would I be able to contribute to?
I am ready to apply for consulting jobs to gain more business experience, but I'm not sure now is the right time. Any opinions or advice?
Humbly,
Richard
