I am wondering about what types of work/volunteer experience would give an edge in management consulting. What kinds of skills and/or experience would an employer seek? and What does a consultant do? Who does he/she work with? and the hours...
any advice and info would be greatly appreciated.
thanks. |

Having some training and experience in the field of business coaching would certainly give you an edge. Coaching experience teaches you how to listen well, ask artiful questions, and zero in on areas where a CEO, manager and employee need to make changes (communications skills, time and stress management, profitability, marketing, and so on). There are a number of coach training organizations in existence, and most of these programs can be completed on a part time basis. Feel free to contact me or to visit my web site (http://www.wiseheartcoach.com) if you would like to know a little more or if I can be of assistance.
