I got a first round interview here. I'm pretty new to the consulting biz, and I'm curious what their reputation is like -- good/fun place to work, enough prestige to assure good opportunities afterwards if I don't stay there? Any tips would be appreciated -- thanks!!
P.S. I have already visited their website (of course), so I already know the Marakon take on Marakon. |

i have first round coming up too and i have a friend who started working there 5 months ago. from what i've gathered, it's got a pretty good reputation as a boutique within the industry but it's got nothing on the level of mckinsey when it comes to prestige. also the analyst job is quite different. ask about these waterfall/cascade charts. it seems that the founders have a monopoly on the intellectual capital and direction. most others in the firm learn the marakon method and their day to day job is finding data to fill in the blanks. also the engagements are said to be really long (1-2 years?) and you get to jump around every 6 months or so.
if you are interested in a more prestigious firm, try to get in elsewhere. it's location in stamford also stinks. i worked at WDR in stamford this summer and it's a rotten hole. definitely try to get in to their boston or newly building nyc office.
