I am considering a position as an analyst in a business intelligence firm. Can anyone tell me the scope of the job? It really doesn't much like strategy/management consulting but more like research (primary and secondary). Also, in a strategy consulting firm like McKinsey, what does a first year analyst do? I just need to compare.
