What areas are hot in Strategy Consulting? Brand Management, Market Entry Strategy, M&A, Balanced Scorecards, IPO Straegies etc etc.? All you consultants with the strategy firms, write your thoughts on this discussion forum. Also which industries are seeing demand of strategy consulting these days now that telecom and manufacturing have taken a hit. |

your question is somewhat misleading because these are not all areas of strategy. strategy is NOT balanced scorecard, brand management, etc. these are areas where expertise providors are hired, not strategy consultants. (strategy consultants are too expensive except for the most pressing strategic issues.) perhaps your question is this: "what is on the mind of ceos?" the answer there is that several ceos are out shopping for acquisition targets at depressed stock market prices. this has been a big change just in the past few months. others are seeking to retrench their core business focus since they've decided the recession will be lasting at least through 4Q01. now is a good time to focus on good ole' operational improvements.
