I admit it, I took my undergarduate as a bit of a joke and now I'm realizing just how collosal a mistake that was. My GPA was pretty terrible (around 2.8.) This was also adversely affect by a part time job that I held (I worked around 20 hours per week.)
You've probably heard this countless times before so one more time won't hurt... My grades are not an accurate reflection of my intellectual capability.
I wrote the GMAT and got a pretty good score (710) so I think that I have some pretty concrete proof that I'm not an idiot.
I managed to overcome the challenge represented by my GPA in campus recruiting and landed a job as a financial analyst at a broadband/IP company which will remain nameless (Just in case) but it just doesn't offer the variety or steap learning curve that I'm craving -- that I believe that management consulting will provide.
Do any of the strat. firms not require the disclosure of transcripts? or will any of the firms accept the GMAT score report in lieu of a transcript?
I'm willing to put in long hours, I'm excited about the prospect of travel (Even if it's to Buffalo in February) and I desperately want to learn.
Am I doomed, not to be considered for an analyst level position? (I will get a consultant position after I do my MBA... I guarantee that!) or does anybody have suggestions on what I have to do get hired?
One thought I had was that I would be willing to take a summer analyst job even though I've already graduated. Of course I would be hoping to prove how perfect I am for a full time position in those four months.
All responses -- especially from benevolent insiders offering jobs -- are welcome (who says consultants can't have a sense of humour?)
Regards,
Mike

Let me get this straight... you are given the opportunity to learn and you blow it off and get poor grades.... now you want someone to invest time and money in you in hopes that this time will be different? There are many others out there that didn't blow their chance....
