Topic Name: Getting a master's - any chance for a consulting job?
Message Name: a few thoughts

In Reply To: I am going to graduate from an Ivy League university next June with an MA in Spanish. Do I have a chance to land a job in consulting, especially in a job market like this one? I have good grades and a lot of leadership/organizational experience, but no previous experience in business or consulting. What do you think? Thanks!
Message: are you at a core recruiting school for the firms you're interested in? that generally makes it easier to land a job because the recruiters come to campus and they know the curriculum you've taken. (not every company recruits at every ivy) most consulting firms will consider candidates with any degree, and fluent knowledge of two languages (in your case espa??ol y ingl??s) and cultures is considered useful.
