Several top strategy firms have excellent summer programs. Among them are McKinsey, Monitor, MMG, Bain, BCG and Kearney.
These programs are highly competitive and often more selective than the full time recruiting process. They are designed to take top undergrads out of the recruiting pool early by giving them an opportunity to work and, often, an offer at the end of the summer to return when they graduate.
These programs are an excellent opportunity to find out about consulting and a prticular firm. Try to get a job at the firm you think you'd be most likely want to work at while you graduate. A summer internship was one of the best things I ever did!
