I'm a senior in college and I just received an offer from CSC, for an IT consultant position. Does anyone have any thoughts on this company? From all of the research I have done, they seem to be extremely flexible and maintain a good, low turnover ratio. Any other thoughts? Plus, CSC's offer is going to be hard to beat.... |

hi, this message is from a UK angle. i graduated from college with 4 offers: CSC, Logica, Unisys and PwC. the positions were all Management Consulting.
At CSC, I was offered a position on the Consulting and System Integration Division. Although CSC offered an excellent benefits package they offered an average wage. However, they offer a very flexible promotion structure with the option to specialise in either IT, business or strategy after an initial (common training) year. Be careful when you accept the offer, if you do, because many people end up in providing the outsourcing division.
I finally chose PwC not only because of the reputation and the pay packet but because of the prestige that they have in the UK... although CSC is the third biggest conultancy (by revenue) it is unheard (outside the industry)! PwC package ended up being better then CSC....
my adivce take CSC... but apply to others as well... you can only can rejections! Good luck!!
