Do either of you know of other good (or not so good) message boards like this one, on which consulting, banking, etc are discussed?

if you want to participate in discussions with veteran bankers, visit your local looney bin, funny farm, House of bedlam, madhouse, insane asylum, mental health clinic, etc. you'll be sure to find plenty of i-bankers there. bankers can also be found in airports. look for the suit who knocks over little kids while running thru the terminal, bullies the flight attendants, shouts an endless stream of obscenities into the airphone so loud that you can hear way back in seat 69F, and craps on the beverage cart. bankers have done all these things, and if you ask, they'll probably tell you it's the greatest f---ing job they ever f---ing had.
for consulting, wetfeet.com has some message boards, but they're not nearly as busy as vault's, and i think this site is easier to use.
if you want a "streetsmart" view of recruiting, read pages 1 to 39 and 77 to 90 of _monkey business_. it came out in 2000 once i was done with recruiting, and i wish it had come out a year earlier! it was written for banking recruits by 2 former dlj bankers from hbs and wharton, but the sections on recruiting apply to consulting too.
