In Reply To: Hi, This is a response to the GPA question... I go to William & Mary (#1 small public university, #40-ish for the Undergrad Business School)... anyway, Pricewaterhouse Coopers Management Consulting accepted me into their externship program (which is basically like getting an offer). My GPA was less than a 3.0, but my resume was really great. What the big consulting firms really want to hear is that you are technologically inclined, that you work well in teams, that you wouldn't mind the travel, and that you have a good attitude. They look less at GPA, and more at how promising you are in the consulting world. Hope that helps!
Message: PWC hired 14,000 people this past year. Statistically speaking... it's not that impressive to get a job with them. I'm not suggesting that you are not good. But shops like PWC, D&T, KPMG, and Accenture which hire between 10,000 and 20,000 EACH, lower their bars pretty far to make the numbers.
