In Reply To: i'm the original poster. i got in the traditional way - on campus recruiting & office interviews this fall (2 rounds w/bcg, 3 w/mck). believe it or not, they recruit at non-ivies, as they have offices outside the northeast. but as you'd imagine, as opposed to making, let's say 15 offers like they do at a yale, mck made only 3 at my school (the talent pool may not be as deep & they don't want to dilute the pedigree they've grown). i wouldn't be posting if i didn't have a serious question here, so don't bother w/the elitist crap. that's what's turning me off from mck in the first place. and yes, i already have both offers. happy monday.
Message: Wasn't implying any elitist crap with my question, it was a genuine question (that I worded badly). Reading on here I get a very distorted view of things so your inquiry caught me off guard. Just wondering about other than "typical" means to get consideration from "the top firms". I'll go away now.
