The turn in the economic enviroment -- tanking of dot.coms and the failures of a lot the-CEO-is-only-27 startups -- has resulted in a change in the job marketplace, particularly for entry-level positions.
So data from the last 9 months would not be representative of anything. In order to make this survey meaningful in anyway, we would need information from several years.
So put in the year of your offer as well as the other info. If more than 25% or 30% are from the same year (including the current year, 2001), then at least we'd know that the results were not that useful. If more than 70% are from the same year, then there will not be enough information for the survey to have any meaning at all. |

You need to understand that firms don't rescind offers normally. They only rescind them when they're in deep
$%@! such as right now. I disagree with your statement that "data from the last 9 months would not be representative of anything". It means EVERYTHING. It shows you which firms rescind offers during hard times and which firms don't -- a fairly useful indicator of character.
