From what I've seen, most strategy consultancies are dominated by Oxbridge graduates.
Regarding OC & C, a friend (Cambridge) is joining them and claims they are taking on 18 new people, all from Oxbridge. If you're not Oxbridge you have little chance of an interview. This is true of many of the small strategy firms (Mars and Marakon are other exmaples).
It's a rather unfair situation (and I'm sure some forms are missign out on good poeple) but that's the way it goes.
In response to the original post, I'd go for LEK; they have an excellent reputation and the people I met at their presentation were refreshingly honest and friendly.
