You know the basics:
- Why are manhole covers round?
- How many diapers were sold in the US last year?
- How many gallons of oil does a supertanker carry?
The more difficult (but easier for engineering students) involve questions like 'how can you derive which coin in a bag of coins is a fake with x machine and x amount of weighings?'
Just keep practicing those and rely on your own good sense for the rest of the interview! |

How do you figure out the answer to the diaper question and the supertanker question? Is it just estimating a ballpark figure, or what? How could anyone expect any precision?
On the round manhole question, is the answer (1) that it can't fall in the hole, or (2) it's easier to remove, since you can roll it off??
