Your credentials obviously were good enough to get you an interview. Therefore, you DO have a shot.
Once you're in the door, what matters most is how you do in the case interviews. Ace the cases, have great presence, and regardless of what the previous jokers say, you'll have a good chance.
Likely a MUCH better chance than they ever had, since I doubt they even got to where you are!
