In Reply To: The problem is that Accenture can't recruit best and the brightest. They can only recruit those who were unable to get offers from M/B/B, Booz, Monitor, Mercer and possibly AT Kearney. Accenture people that I had chance to get to know were really mediocre to say the least. Not to mention the sweatshoplike environment and culture.

" That's not true at all, no matter how much you want it to be true. "Not to mention the sweatshoplike environment and culture." Now, THAT is one of the biggest rumors that been spread about the firm. The fact that within some (tho not all) of the service lines, entry-level trainees are put into entry-level trainee work for up to 2 years does not mean that this what the work is like throughout the firm or that the recruits who are now doing this will still be doing this 3 or 4 years down the line. Do you know anyone at the firm who is not under 26? Do you know anyone in the firm who is not in the tech or process service lines? I think not (and if you say you do, most of us will have a hard time believing you).
