Seriously, the original poster here is a total loser...and thats assuming he's telling the truth. Actually, I'd have more respect for him if he was just making it up to see what people would say. Here's what I hear,
"Gee, I went to Harvard (third generation of course) and got terrific grades. Now, in today's awful job market, I have the burden of deciding whether I should choose McKinsey or GS, what did I ever do to deserve this? Which firm should I choose to make $100k at?! Why me? Which will look better on a resume? Anyway, even though I was clearly smart enough and better than anyone else in the world (including those I'm asking for advice from), I just can't decide. I know! I'll tell as many people as possible about my terrible misfortunes and see what they have to say, yeah! A couple total strangers can decide for me, it's brilliant!"
Is it any wonder MBAs, I-bankers and strat. consultants are being looked at more and more like immoral ambulance chasing lawyers and used car salesmen? This type of behavior is really disgusting. The egos involved are already at record levels, and they only get worse.
You really dont know which firm will look better on a resume?! They'll look the same you freakin idiot! Which is more prestigious? Ok, you are clearly in it for the ego, not the money. You want everyone to bow to you when you tell them where you work. You people are so utterly deplorable it's chilling.
