From my end that is a tough call - Since I am with a retained firm our clients have very specific backgrounds for the people who we are looking for - However samllers firms that are a niche firm - i.e. PRTM, McKenna - that deal mainly with high tech clients and strategy look at new employees that come out of that field - and have some experince with strategy, operational or whatever the firm does in the sense of consulting. Take your present situation and find a firm that deals maily with your industry - if you are in HR - look at William Mercer, Towers Perrin, marketing is your background then take a look at Mercer MC. Could you please provide any advice on which consulting firms are more open to hiring people with a Ph.D. in life sciences?
