I just started working at a top strat firm. I am working my butt off, but I am scared of making too many mistakes. How hard / easy is it to get fired from one of these places. I have never been fired before, but this economy has everyone worried. |

I guess it all depends on the firm you work for and how much business is going to slow down and for how long.
But generally, you do have a grace period. I work for a top mgmt consulting firm, where basically you cannot get fired in less than 18 months.
So if your feedback is good, the people you work with are happy and so on, don't worry too much.
