What are the chances of Accenture having to cut back on its new hires and existing staff with the current economic condition.
I am supposed to start in May and was expecting a confirmation start date 2 months ago and haven't gotten it yet.
I noticed that PWC has made some recent cutbacks. Should I be worried about this at ACC?
thanks for the advice

Accenture, like most of the MC firms, are experiencing hiring slowdowns. This is not the same as layoffs or doing what FirstMarch and a few other firms are doing -- actually rescinding offers.
If you got an offer with Accenture you have a solid job. The only caveat is that you should be prepared to see your start date pushed back, maybe by many months.
The firm is not cutting staff, but may reduce the number of additional staff they recruit this year. If you have already been recruited and have an offer, you are in.
