Marakon?!? Right behind McKinsey!!! You've got to be kidding. I don't work for any of the firms you mentioned, but I can only say that if there is one other firm belonging in the top tier of STRATEGY consulting besides McK/BCG/Bain, that is Monitor.
I wouldn't even put Marakon in the second tier!

I'm a Sr. Mgr. at Accenture. There is no way you'll have the kind of opps at Monitor or Marakon that I have. Currently working to launch new venture that Acc. and 4 other strategic investors will own - work on job includes strat analysis, partner negotiation, VC fundraising. Marakon and Monitor people would never even sniff this kind of work.
