In Reply To: Your assistance please .. I am a US Sr. Exec Consultant with 10+ years experience "here at home". I am considering a move to Canada, but have little idea how to proceed - or if in fact I should. Consultants are officially on the Canadian Govt's. Professionals Wanted list - so that's a good sign. But with the CN dollar only worth .50 - I don't know. What are the chances of a Consulting Co in Canada sponsoring me? Advantages or diadvantages to working on the "other side" of the border? How do I go about this? Any/all assistance would be appreciated.
Message: Canada is picking up fast in comparison to US. All the major consulting comm[pnaies have offices here. Though thesre are diadvantages 1) weak candian dollar 2) smaller offices, less projects, lesser revenues for the firms, leass opportunities. Advantages can be 1) good recognition for you US experience 2) better culture 3) Safer and better place to live with family. Talk to the companies here in Canada and all the best.
