GS and McK are apples and oranges...especially if you're talking Risk Markets vs. Strategy Consulting. Having said that, they are both GS and McK the leaders in their industries. Both will pay a lot too. If all you're concerned about is a resume builder and $$, then just flip a coin. I'm not being facetious, just flip a coin.
If you truly care about your career and it's direction, then do a little soul searching. What makes you tick? How much will you enjoy the actual WORK that you'll do every single day? Which group of people did you like better? Which has a better work life balance?
It really blows my mind that the people that get into these firms have the egos that they do...and that the smart people that are truly stimulated by the WORK get left behind. |

How can people be offered these sorts of jobs and not be able to make their own mind up? The need to resort to getting others prodding and 'advice' is ridiculous.... 'oh how clever you must be to have mck AND gs offers' - think for yourself for a change or neither company will want you for long!
It is a shame recruiters cant scan these pages to find out the twats they are employing
