In Reply To: 1. sometimes they can get a bit strange with the expenses. I rather not get into details. I think Scott Adams would take notice at a few instances. The expense policy is not that bad, but much worse than any other firm of this caliber. 2) The drudgery can be very boring database number crunching or literally calling up competitor's warehouses and finding out how many trucks come and go every day, day after day, week after week. It really depends. Some get lucky and do not have it as bad. It gets better because once you pass the test, you will have responsibility on the project and the new new guy will take over the boring stuff. When I was at Mars, I had less responsibility at my first project (post-MBA/post Phd) than I did at my first job after undergrad, to give you an idea.
Message: Thanks for the answers, yours are among the first informative posts that regarding Mars that I have read - not counting those replies concerning the candy maker! If I could just ask one more question: Do you know how the salary/bonus situation works? In other words, do you know what percentages (ballpark) are given for raises and bonuses and when they are given? Thanks again, I really appreciate your info!
