Moving from a small to a large consulting firm |

Yes, I have a question in a similiar vein. Does anyone have any advice for a VP who is keen on moving from a 25 person strategy consulting firm with clients that primarily comprise middle market technology companies to a larger consulting firm (but not one of the Big 5)? I have an MBA with an emphasis in technology operations, 10 years as a VP with a successful consulting firm (national/international), research, strategy, alliances, m&a) and previously 14 years in management in the private sector. I seem to find the entry level I'm presented with in an interview is at a senior associate or consultant level - yet, I bring in almost $1 million per year in billings for my current company. The message I get from HR execs at McK, Bain, Mercer, etc. is that we have our own style of consulting and thus my experience must be "re-aligned" with their methods. Help!
