I'm a recent college grad who is applying to Strategy Consulting firms but find myself am outside the standard Oct-Jan recruiting season. Though several recruiting coordinators have told me their company is no longer hiring, I realize that many firms will indeed hire outside the season but its a matter of getting in touch w/the right person or two who can get you an "in." Thus, I am looking for:
1. Contacts at strategy firms (esp. LEK, Marakon, Mercer, Bain, BCG) who could talk about the process and perhaps direct me to the appropriate person. (please email: stratcontacts@hotmail.com)
2. Advice from anyone about how else I would go about this process. Is applying via the internet a good idea or is it useless.
I would prefer West or East Coast but am flexible about office location.
