I work in content management at a dot com, but I want to move into consulting. A friend from KPMG suggested I take a class or two from Interwoven (content management software co.) so I can put it on my resume and get a job doing implementation work. Has anyone ever heard of this? |

I've heard of Interwoven. I just bought put options on their stock last week (no B.S.). I looked at their "Teamsite" product as well as a hundred other content management products last summer when I was considering solutions for a Latin American portal I was a part of. My conclusion? The content managemement space is way too fragmented, expensive, and none of the products really do what you think they will. This space will either consolidate or a big player with huge economies of scale will come in and wipe this space clean. In other words, I don't think Interwoven is going too far, although it is arguably on top of the trash heap at least.
We developed our own solution and I am SO glad we did.
I don't know if having Interwoven training would be useful on your resume however. Someone in a Big 5 implementation position should be able to tell you more on that.
Good luck.
