Marakon focuses primarily on Value based management. They get inside an org'n and beaver away for years like moonies trying to unlock value. If you have a choice b/w Accenture and Monitor, I'd probably go with Monitor. Accenture is a Big 5 firm and is not perceived by CEOs for their strategy expertise. Accenture's forte is large scale systems implementation which have got them into a lot of trouble for screwing companies into bankruptcy (Best Buy, Mars, etc...). And by the way, be realisitic, don't expect to be briefing the CEO. Really!!! |

I second that notion... go to Monitor. Not only do they do some damn good work, but they have a reputation for being one of the best firms to work for in terms of work environment and atmosphere.
