Presently, I have been offered an excellent IT related job. This position will present me with excellent programming and IT leadership skills. On the other hand, I have completed one year of law school at a third tier school (in lower portion of my class)and I have the option of returning. If my ultimate goal is to become a
consultant for a mangaement or IT consulting company, which
path shold I take. Is it more sensible to finish the remaining two years of law school and use JD degreee to land a consulting job, or should I work in IT and hope to be accepted into a MBA program. There is no definate possiblity I will be accepted into a MBA program, but I have already been accepted and could still attend my original law shool. I am not looking to pracice law, but to become a consultant you need some sort of graduate degree. So do I stay in law school to get the JD degree. Or get some valuable work experiecne and forgo law school.
If anyone has some excellent advice, could you please assist me. |

I finished a JD/MBA at a good school. I practiced law for a while. Being a lawyer is hell. Save yourself while you still can. Of the 12 other JD/MBAs I graduated with, only 2 are still lawyers. They hate it but feel trapped. Run while you can.
