i think its a bias against consultants, but coming from bain may overcome it.
and often they will get someone from that industry if they want expertise from a particular industry.
finally, sure the banks execute deals, but the LBO shops must understand that like a core competency |

In that case you would suggest that after a couple of years in consulting, one should work some years in investment banking to break into LBO?
