Does anyone know of any smaller (30-100 employees or so) strategic consulting firms that have a Fortune 500 client list?
I'm interested in doing strategic consulting, but I don't want to go to one of the big firms and be a grunt on the bottom of the food chain. I'd like to lead project teams, as I have done in the past.

I used to work at Telesis, a BCG spinoff in Providence, RI that was purchased by Towers Perrin. They keep themselves very separate from the rest of the organization, allowing them to do their own type of strategy -- based on economic analysis, largely in high-tech and telecom. They have ~35-30 employees (very boutique-like) and are looking to hire. But, you also have the advantage of good pay, less attitude than some smaller firms, and stability. Being part of Towers also has the benefit of great benefits! Their website is www.telesis-towers.com. Good luck!
